Dr. Mira Park

Dr Park is lecturer in the School of Information and communication Technology at the University of Tasmania, where she lectures and develops curricula for courses in data networks and cybersecurity. 

Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, computer vision, and deep learning.   Dr Park has published over 50 research articles which have attracted more than 900 academic citations. She has been awarded 10 research grants with a total funding of $1,226,623.  Her diverse research focus has led her to conduct studies ranging from medical imaging for computer-aided diagnoses, to computer vision for intelligent visual interpreting systems, and machine learning to enhance cybersecurity. 

Dr Park previously worked as a research fellow at both the University of Melbourne and at the University of Newcastle.  She completed her PhD in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of New South Wales in 2003.
